ABOUT OUR PRACTICE

The Crescent Approach

At Crescent, we provide personalized mental health support for women and their families from pre-conception through pregnancy and beyond. We partner closely with our clients and prioritize collaborative therapeutic approaches in adjunct with professional excellence and evidence-based care. Here, with us, we want our clients to feel seen, heard, and understood, whether they are trying to conceive, have just given birth, or are looking to reconnect with themselves during their transition into motherhood.

Why Our Clients Choose Us

  • Our team is trained specifically in perinatal mental health, including postpartum depression, birth trauma, perinatal anxiety, and more. We have received the perinatal mental health certification (PMH-C) credential from Postpartum Support International (PSI).

  • We integrate both traditional and holistic therapies to support mental, emotional, and physical well-being during the perinatal period.

  • We provide individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, ensuring a customized and supportive experience - we want to meet you where you are and support you accordingly.

  • Our therapists are not only highly skilled but also deeply empathetic, offering a safe and understanding environment. We have our own experiences with motherhood that have shaped us as individuals and as practitioners.

  • In addition to therapy, we offer supportive services like birth planning, sleep support, and parenting support to help clients navigate the perinatal period.

  • We offer flexible therapy options, including both virtual and in-person sessions, to accommodate busy schedules and diverse needs

  • Our office is easily accessible, with comfortable, private spaces designed to promote relaxation and healing.

  • We prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space for healing, especially for clients dealing with birth trauma or other past experiences

  • We use evidence-based modalities like CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness practices to support mental health recovery and resilience.

  • Crescent strives to connect with other birth workers in the North Georgia community, forming meaningful relationships to connect you with quality professionals and “Build Your Village” in exactly the way you deserve. We also are involved with and support local non-profits; volunteer psychoeducational resourcing and consultation services; and co-host Postpartum Support International’s “The Climb” as a leader of Team North Georgia.

  • “We were not meant to navigate motherhood alone. The impact of birth trauma and the mental toll of the perinatal period can have lasting effects. At Crescent Counseling, you’ll receive compassionate and holistic care from a mother who truly understands the challenges you’re facing. Prioritizing your mental health is the greatest gift you can give to yourself, your family, and your children”
