Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.

I’m Paige - Owner of Crescent Counseling & Consulting, LLC

I founded Crescent Counseling & Consulting, LLC because I whole-heartedly believe that people who are struggling with the challenges of family planning, pregnancy, and/or the postpartum period, with the right support, can find relief.

My passion for this work stems from my own experience with perinatal anxiety and depression. Despite being a mental health professional, I still found myself struggling for many months through pregnancy and postpartum before realizing I needed to reach out and get help. I have since come to realize the prenatal and postpartum periods are uniquely challenging and thus demand a unique support system - which, is where I come in! You are the expert of your experience and my role during our time together is to support you through the healing process, utilizing a combination of approaches that are tailored to you.

I am trained in and utilize treatment techniques known to effectively treat anxiety, depression, and trauma including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Ego State Therapy (Parts Work) - among other evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and two young boys, cuddling with our sweet “fur-baby” Decker, and exploring local coffee shops! I live for crisp, fall mornings; good books; and creating opportunities for genuine human connection.

Hi there!

I’m Decker - Aspiring Therapy Dog

Did you know animal-assisted therapy has been shown to help reduce anxiety, stress, and alleviate symptoms of depression? That’s why I am currently working to complete my therapy dog certification through the Canine Good Citizen Program, even though my family already says I am the “goodest girl”. My areas of expertise include giving and receiving cuddles, playing fetch, and providing quality emotional support to those in need!

If you’re interested in meeting me, just let me Mama know - I am available for both in-office visits and “walk and talk” sessions and would love the opportunity to meet you! I love making new friends!

Outside of the office, I enjoy going on long walks, taking naps, and eating treats - blueberries and puppuccinos are my favorite!

 FAQs

  • The short answer to this questions is - yes, if you are open to allowing therapy to help you. Client readiness is something your therapist will screen for and work with you on. If you have questions about whether or not therapy would be a helpful investment, please feel free to reach out to us for a free consultation, and we can help you explore your options.

  • I like to invite my clients to reflect on the following "three Cs" after meeting with me for the first time:

    1. Comfort - Do you feel comfortable with your therapist? With the space? I am always open to clients sharing ways in which I can help them feel more comfortable - it's something that is important to me as both a clinician and as a person.

    2. Connection: This one is sort of hard to describe, but is comes down to do you feel connected with your therapist? Even if we have had different life experiences, can you visualize developing a therapeutic alliance with me?

    3. Communication: Do you feel your therapist is able to communicate well with you? As a therapist, my values are authenticity and transparency - I am going to be myself with you, and I am going to be honest with you.

If we meet and for whatever reason you don't feel like we're a good fit, you are allowed to tell me, and I will help connect you with someone who can better support you!

  • The first session after our phone consultation is an intake and evaluation. I will meet you, either in the waiting area or via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform, and introduce you to the therapy space. We will review your intake paperwork and ensure we are a good match to work together - during this time, I encourage you to ask any questions you have to help you get to know me or more about the therapy process in general. These sessions are also longer in length, typically - this allows us plenty of time to connect with one another and assess your goals for therapy.

  • Yes! We offer virtual sessions in addition to our in-person office sessions!

  • Yes - In fact, I specialize in working with children. I am a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), which means I have specialized training in working with children. This was my original niche, in fact, before my heart and practice expanded to include perinatal care. If you're interested in learning more about play therapy or therapy for children in general, I would love to talk with you more!

  • No - but we can discuss options if you would like this to be a part of your care plan. I'll help connect you with a psychiatrist or a primary care provider if you want to explore medication as a possibility.

  • At this time, Crescent Counseling & Consulting, LLC is not paneled with any insurances. We elect to remain an out-of-network provider in order to best protect you and your confidentiality; maintain the ability to decide the type and time-frame of treatment that best fits you and your needs; and to avoid having to give a preemptive mental health disorder diagnosis. However, we understand that therapy, though an investment, can be costly. Therefore, we will provide you with a superbill after each session for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We also offer a complimentary resource to help guide you through investigating your out-of-network benefits. Because we believe therapy should be an accessible resource, we offer a select number of reduced session rates as well.

Payment options include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or Health Savings Account (HSA) cards that can be charged like a credit card.

  • Absolutely! In fact, that is an important part of our practice! We find that the best care comes from clear communication between our clients' support systems. Our clinicians work alongside all other providers who are focused on a shared goal. If you are looking for a provider outside of our practice, we also have a list of recommended professionals and are always happy to share our resources and recommendations. We partner with various local providers and spend time on our end getting to know them and their business models in order to ensure we are recommending the highest quality of care. Each of the providers listed on our Build Your Village page have been personally vetted and are recommended by Crescent Counseling & Consulting, LLC!
